RESOLUTION NO. 08-CFPD-06
CHATHAM COMMUNITY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT RESOLUTION
RELATING TO PURCHASE OF CHASSIS
WHEREAS, the Chatham Community Fire Protection District, by and through its Board of Trustees, is charged with the responsibility of maintaining appropriate, necessary and safe equipment for the use of its employees and for service to citizens of the District, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has determined that it is in the best interest of the District to purchase an apparatus chassis for emergency medical services equipment, which need has been submitted for open competitive bids in order to obtain the most appropriate equipment for the current and ongoing needs of the District, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, being presented with responses to its bid request for an apparatus chassis and having considered all of the appropriate factors, including cost, quality of product and coordination of new equipment with existing equipment;
NOW, THEREFORE, Chatham Community Fire Protection District by and through its Trustees, hereby resolves as follows:
1. The Board of Trustees determines that the apparatus chassis proposal submitted by FYDA Freightliner Columbus, Inc through Horton Emergency Vehicles with a competitive bid in the amount of $ 72,561.00 is, considering all factors, the most appropriate apparatus chassis for purchase by the District.
2. The Board of Trustees hereby resolves to pay from the appropriate equipment fund of the District the total sum of $ 72,561.00 to purchase the chassis from FYDA Freightliner Columbus, Inc through Horton Emergency Vehicles, as more fully described in the bid proposal which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and to take delivery thereof in accordance with the terms of the bid proposal.
3. This resolution is passed at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees held this ___ day of March, 2009.
