Gear room
The gear room is where all firefighters personal protective equipment is stored. The personnel protective equipment hangs of specifically designed racks which allows air to circulate through the gear generating a quicker drying time for wet gear. The laundry facilities for the personal protective equipment are located directly off this room, so that the gear does not enter any part of the office area or living quarters in the fire station.
