CELEBRATING 80 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY

Home

The purpose of the Exploring program is to give you practical, "hands on" experience in your chosen field of interest. This will help put you one step ahead when it comes to college, getting a job or becoming volunteer. This also gives you a chance to join a group of young people who share this common interest. You will have the opportunity to make new friends, develop leadership skills, earn advancement awards, and most of all, have fun! Whether your interests lie in firefighting or the medical field, our program will give you that head start for the future.

Some of the programs we are considering in the upcoming months include:

-Tour a fire apparatus manufacturing plant (Alexis)

-Learning about fire behavior, hoses, ladders, fire appliances, etc.

-CPR, first aid, anatomy and physiology, etc.

-Tour a local hospital emergency room.

            -Go ‘rock climbing’ in Rochester.

           - And much more.............

Our meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 6:30pm. If you are interested in attending please contact Joe Bolletta at 483-2121.
