CHATHAM FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT MINUTES
January 9, 2006The meeting was called to order at 1830 hours with Trustee Butler, Trustee Branham, Trustee Sullivan, Chief Schumer, Firefighters Kissel, Jimmie Gerberding, Bolletta, Baker, and Bucci present. Trustee Branham made a motion to pay bills as shown on ledger. Motion seconded by Trustee Butler and passes by unanimous aye vote. Check to Towers for air compressor is to be held until it is determined whether installation is included in cost. Do not send check to Alexis until we check invoice for cost of $1,124.66 OLD BUSINESS- No old business. NEW BUSINESS Trustee Branham stated that there would be a meeting with Union on Thursday January 18th at 1800 hours at the fire station; it is not an open meeting. Firefighter Gerberding asked when Fire Commissioners would meet? District will check with commissioners to determine their schedule. Trustee Branham presented information on digital thermostats for bay area, 6 thermostats at $45.00 each. Trustee Sullivan made motion to purchase 6, seconded by Trustee Butler. Passed by unanimous aye vote. Pension Board minutes are posted on bulletin board. Pension computer has problem, Chief Schumer will resolve computer problem. Thanks to Firefighter Kissel for installing bulletin board. Firefighter Bucci presented the Explorer Program. Explorers is a great program, insurance is covered through Boy Scouts of America. Trustee Butler made a motion that District support Explorer Group, seconded by Trustee Sullivan. Passed by unanimous aye vote. Chief Schumer- · Fire Chief Assoc. is January 23rd at Fulgenzi’s. Chatham Fire is hosting. · Spiller ordinance is being reviewed. · Specs for new engine are being worked on. Receiver hitch for winch is being looked at. He will meet with committee and try to get specs of next meeting, January 18th, 0700 hours to discuss. · Chief Schumer received resignation from Volunteer Firefighter Tom Burke. District accepts resignation. He will keep his part time status. Motion made by Trustee Butler and seconded by Trustee Sullivan. Motion passed by unanimous aye vote. Meeting adjourned at 2025 hours.
