CHATHAM FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

December 11, 2007

 

The meeting was called to order at 1830 hours, Trustee Butler, Trustee Sullivan, Trustee Branham, Chief Schumer, office manager Dawn Sanchez, Firefighter Bucci, Firefighter Rogers, Firefighter Gerberding, Firefighter Edie, Firefighter Volkert, and Captain Bell were present.

 Minutes from November were approved as read. Trustee Branham made a motion to accept the minutes. Trustee Sullivan seconded the motion; motion was passed be unanimous aye vote. 

Trustee Branham made a motion to pay bills as shown. Trustee Butler seconded the motion; motion passed with a unanimous aye vote.

 Old Business- Crossroads bill-Chief Schumer is working with Lisa from Crossroads. He is trying to get more covered by warranty.

 New Business-Meeting with Currie Estate is set for December 21st about possible land acquisition. Dave Volkert presented information on Fire Chaplain position 

Board of Fire Commissioner- On December 12th the board will meet to review applications and December 19th will be a follow up meeting on applications.

 Pension Board-Meeting is set for December 17th at 1800 hours.

 Meeting was adjourned at 1955 hrs to go into an executive session.

Meeting was back into open session at 2105 hrs.

 Trustee Sullivan made a motion to give Christmas Bonus. The motion was seconded by Trustee Branham and passed by unanimous aye vote. Trustee Sullivan made a motion to accept Bob Bose’s agreement extension. The motion was seconded by Trustee Branham and was passed by a unanimous aye vote The District decided to table any further discussion on a recruit-training program until next meeting. All Chaplain information will go through Chief Schumer.

 Chief Schumer- Chief Schumer brought up questions about radio programming; Chief Schumer will investigate. Bags for CPR manikins are broken and in need of repair. Replacement bags are $39.95. The District wants to buy three bags. AHA has the need for another set of manikins. The District gave permission to order one set of manikins. Chief Schumer presented information on 3800 IPRF grant that he would like to use to buy a training aid. The District decided to table this discussion until next month.

 Meeting was adjourned at 2125 hours.
